Christmas madness is impossible to hide from

So I know it’s been awhile, and as you’ve probably guessed, things are crazy this time of year at the school.

I’ve managed to chisel out some time to add this post reminding people that I have prints for sale of my day lily series. If anyone is interested in purchasing a matted, ready to frame print in either 8″x10″ or 11″x14″

This is an amazing site with wonderful women all over the place who are involved with a chef in some way or fashion. Whether they are married to one, dating or have family members in the business, it offers the support (mental and emotional) that we need sometimes to come to terms with the hardships of this incredibly demanding profession. I love my chef (www.chrisfroman.wordpress.com) but it gets tough sometimes when we have opposite schedules.

This site is worth checking out for sure.

And, of course, so is Chris’ if you want to make yourself hungry

Thank you to everyone who came by to support me today! I was totally impressed with the amount of traffic that came through my booth. I sold pieces, met wonderful (FRIENDLY) people and had a completely awesome experience. (Can’t wait to do it again next year!)

Getting closer to “THE” day!

Finished another colored pencil piece! The ball is rolling, don’t stop me now!!

Excuse the reflection, but it is in its “plastic prep bag” ready and waiting to go to the show. Getting more and more excited as it gets closer. Working on another piece currently of a (this is a shocker here) daylily. After three hours of matting and bagging last night, the count so far is about 40 prints total of about six originals. Still have approx 20 prints and two more original drawings to copy and prep.

Wondering if it’s a good idea to go through my surrealist stuff to mix it up a little. Does anyone have any thoughts they could share. I think it might be neat to showcase realism/surreal at the same show. Would it work? Think I’ll think on it a little more. However, it would bring my piece count up a little.

Here’s a pic of the latest “in progress.” Please check in again and remember, AUGUST 7th on the GOFFSTOWN common. My booth with be between the Main St. office and Travers.

ART SHOW PREP!!

I have been SOOOOOO busy drawing. It’s FANTASTIC! I’ve finished two pieces in the past month and can’t believe how much I’ve missed drawing! I’ve been fortunate enough to dedicate at least 24 hours of disruption free drawing time per week, so I’m averaging a piece of art every two weeks. CAN”T WAIT to see what else can come out of this much needed work session.

Here they are so far! Prismacolor colored pencils rock my socks.

Please, please, please feel free to comment with ideas/suggestions. The show is coming up August 7th, 10am-4pm at the Goffstown Common right here in Goffstown, NH “Second Annual Uncommon art on the Commons!”
